A beautiful first-year 1958 Chevrolet Impala Hardtop, equipped with a rare 348 CI Tri-Power V-8 and four-speed manual transmission, crosses the auction block.


The 1958 Chevrolet Impalaa pinnacle of 1950s American automotive design and luxury, is ready to dazzle bidders at the Mecum Kissimmee 2025 auction. This cool first year Impala Hardtop, with only 1,309 miles on the odometer features a rare and highly sought-after drivetrain, making it a crown jewel for collectors.

Chevrolet introduced the Impala in 1958 as the top model in the Bel Air range, setting new standards in style and refinement. Larger and lower than its predecessors, the Impala showcased bold yet tasteful design cues that rivaled even Cadillac’s offerings. This particular example, painted Arctic Whitefeatures a stunning tricolor blue, black and white interiorexuding the elegance that sets the Impala apart from its siblings.

Under the hood is one 348 CI W-head V-8 engine with Tri-Power carburetion, delivering 280 hp. This setup, complete with a double snorkel air purifieris linked to a 4-speed manual transmissionwhich increases the car’s appeal.
