Skeleton Crew Episode 4 Ending Explained: What Happens to Neel?

Star Wars: Skeleton Crew episode 4 has aired and viewers are left wondering at the end if Neel is dead or alive. The series centers on a group of children who are lost in the vastness of the galaxy where the Star Wars franchise is primarily set, hoping to find their way to their home planet At Attin. What they or other inhabitants of their world did not initially know is that At Attin was one of the nine legendary jewels of the Old Republic. In episode 4, Neel and his friends land on another planet and find themselves in an ongoing war.

Is Neel dead or alive in Star Wars: Skeleton Crew Episode 4?

Neel is alive at the end of Star Wars: Skeleton Crew Episode 4. As one of his friends notes just before the credits start rolling, he simply fainted.

The children find themselves at At Achrann and become separated from Jod Na Nawood (Jude Law) and SM-33 (Nick Frost). After being found by members of one of the native tribes, the Troik, they discover that these people are at war with another tribe, the Hattan. Neel befriends a human girl named Hayna, the daughter of the Troik leader. The children learn that, unlike their orderly planet, there is constant conflict here.

Soon, Neel, Fern and the others are recruited into the war and taken to the front lines. However, instead of fighting the Hattan, they reunite with Jod and SM-33. The first ensures that the children are released by returning the cattle that the Hattan took from them to the Troik. Near the end of the episode, Hayna directs the heroes to the Fallen Sanctum, where they find the map to all nine jewels. However, they discover that the coordinates to Attin have been destroyed and that SM-33 was responsible.

Fren comes up with the clever plan to suppress the droid’s memory, causing him to remember that the previous captain slaughtered all his crewmates who saw At Attin’s coordinates. Driven by the previous order to destroy all who came looking for Attin’s treasure, the droid attempts to attack the children. Luckily, Jod takes him out in time, but not before Neel shows incredible courage and pulls the murderous droid towards him. Then he faints.
