Jenny Han’s empire of literary YA adaptations will continue to expand with Netflix’s newest season XO, Kitty based on the character from Han’s lover To all the boys I loved before trilogy.

Renewed for a second season shortly after its debut on the streamer in May 2023, the series follows Katherine “Kitty” Song Covey, the younger sister of Lana Condor’s Lara Jean Song Covey from Han’s books and the Netflix film trilogy, as she a year-long study begins. abroad program at the Korean International School of Seoul, where her mother went to school. Who is in the cast of XO, Kitty Season 2?

Anna Cathcart returns as Kitty Song Covey, as does Minyeong Choi who plays Dae Kim, Gia Kim who plays Yuri Han, Sang Heon Lee as Min Ho Moon, Anthony Keyvan as Q and Regan Aliyah as Juliana.

Additional returning cast includes Peter Thurnwald as Alex, Jocelyn Shelfo as Madison and Michael K. Lee as Professor Lee.

Newcomers in season 2 include Audrey Huynh, Joshua Lee and Sasha Bhasin. Philippe Lee will also play a new character, Mr. Moon.

What is XO, Kitty Season 2 over?

In Season 2, Kitty returns to KISS for a brand new semester in South Korea, with a clean slate. She hopes not to interfere, matchmaking or cause any more drama for her group of friends. A mysterious letter from her mother’s past sends her on a new investigation, and she soon discovers that she doesn’t know everything about family, life and love.

What happened inside XO, Kitty Season 1?

In season 1 of the show, Kitty convinced her father, Dr. Covey (John Corbet) and his new wife Trina Rothschild (Sarayu Blu) convince her to study abroad during her freshman year of high school. Her two motivations for going to KISS are her long-distance boyfriend Dae and the fact that her mother attended the same program at the school he attended when she was in high school.

Kitty surprises Dae at KISS, which is to their detriment, as he has a fake date with Yuri (Gina Kim) because she is a lesbian and doesn’t want her parents to do that now. Kitty bumps into KISS and thinks they’re really together, but they all find out in the end – until she realizes she has feelings for Yuri. Oh, and Min Ho also confesses his feelings for Kitty at the end of season 1. Talk about a love rhombus similar to Emily in Paris.

Who else is behind it XO, Kitty Season 2?

Jessica O’Toole serves as showrunner, executive producer and writer XO, Kitty Season 2. ACE Entertainment’s Jenny Han and Matt Kaplan also serve as executive producers, and the show is produced through Awesomeness Studios.

Is there a trailer for season 2 of this? XO, Kitty?

The main trailer was released on December 17 and revealed that a very special guest – Peter Kavinsky (Noah Centineo) – will visit Kitty and company on KISS. Watch the trailer below:
