Mark Cuban shares his anti-aging routine: diet, walking, supplements

  • Billionaire entrepreneur Mark Cuban said lifespans are improving so much that 60 is the new 40.
  • While anti-aging science may be high-tech, what Cuban shared about his own routine is simple.
  • His low-cost habits for living a long life include regular walking, eating vegetarian and taking vitamins.

Mark Cuban isn’t ready to act his age.

In the new anti-aging scientific documentary “Longevity Hackers” (streaming on Amazon and Apple TV), the billionaire businessman of “Shark Tank” fame said he feels decades younger than his biological age of 66.

“The 60s are the new 40s,” Cuban said. “You see guys in their 60s who are my age who can look good, be fit and not be limited in the things they do.”

While some entrepreneurs spend millions on anti-aging routines, what we know about Cuban’s routine is relatively simple—and doesn’t cost much to follow.

Here’s what Cuban said about the diet, exercise and supplements that keep him feeling youthful.

“If I never had to look in the mirror, I’d think I was 35,” he said.

He walks as much as possible – including on the set of ‘Shark Tank’

Exercise has been an important part of the Cuban routine for years and is crucial for healthy aging.

“I actually train more now than I did 10 or 15 years ago, because my body needs it more,” he said.

The entrepreneur said he typically spends between 45 and 90 minutes in the gym, including plenty of cardio.

He also keeps moving as much as possible. Although Cuban isn’t scheduled to star in “Shark Tank” in 2025, he said previous seasons of the show have been a great opportunity to make his moves.

“Everyone takes the carts, the set is .35 miles away, and I walk back and forth, so I walk two miles a day while we shoot Shark Tank,” he said.

Walking more is also linked to a longer, healthier life, and according to research, just 500 extra steps a day can make a difference.

He is a vegetarian

Cuban has been following a vegetarian diet since 2019.

“As you get older, food becomes more like medicine, where you need the nutrients to be your best self,” he said.

Plant-based diets rich in nutrient-dense foods such as vegetables, whole grains, nuts and beans are linked to longer life and a lower risk of chronic disease.

“What I eat really makes a difference in how everything in my body works,” Cuban said.

Cuban said he loves plant-based eating — and has invested in numerous vegan and vegetarian food companies — but the downside is that it can be difficult to eat out or attend events.

“I love being a vegetarian. It can be weird going to a steakhouse with a bunch of guys,” he said.

He supplements with vitamin D and melatonin

Cuban rounds out his nutritional needs with daily supplements to reduce inflammation and improve sleep, he previously told Business Insider.

It supplements melatonin, a hormone naturally produced by the body to regulate the internal clock.

Cuban also takes vitamins D and E, both of which are linked to healthy aging. Vitamin D helps the body absorb calcium, which is crucial for healthy bones, while strengthening the immune system to lower the risk of cancer. Vitamin E also supports the immune system and reduces inflammation, reducing stress on cells to prevent possible age-related damage.

He said the opportunity to invest in his health with simple, daily habits is paying off by allowing him to keep up with the activities in his life that matter.

“To me, growing older is just being who you are, no matter the number,” Cuban said.
